2.Station and Train Etiquette

Hold onto your luggage securely when using escalators.

 

Please make sure your belongings do not inconvenience other passengers.

 

Keep the doorway clear for passengers who need to get off.

 

Keep your voice low on the train.

 

Give up your seat and priority spaces to passengers who are disabled, elderly, pregnant or in wheelchairs or those with young children or strollers.

 

No eating or drinking in stations and on the train.

 

3.Smoking Rules in Fukuoka City

No smoking while walking or riding a bicycle. Smoking on public streets is prohibited, especially in the Tenjin and Daimyō districts and the Hakata Station area.

When smoking outdoors, dispose of cigarette butts in an ashtray or other proper container.

4.Riding a Bicycle

Cycle on the left hand side of the road.

Pedestrians take priority on sidewalks. When riding a bicycle on the sidewalk is permitted, ride slowly on the side closest to the road.

Turn on your bicycle lights after dark.

Bicycles Left on the Road Are Subject to Removal

Bicycles parked on streets or in areas other than designated bicycle parking areas will be treated as abandoned bicycles and removed.

A storage and removal fee of 2,500 yen must be paid to retrieve your bicycle.
